Normally when someone mentions University, you don't immediately think of a soul-sucking existence. But that's the case right now. It's pure tedium, mixed with increasing cynicism year-by-year.

Remember the game I made for the IGMC (Indie Game Making Contest) 2014? Well, you can view it being played here!
Broken Sword 5 is a Kickstarter-funded game, made by Revolution Software. The premise of the game begins when George and Nico indadvertedly become witnesses to a robbery and murder in an art gallery. The mystery behind the robbery itself is interesting enough, but the game really begins to fall flat when you discover that the 'epic story' which unfolds actually isn't that epic.
Despite setbacks to posting on-schedule (is there even a schedule anymore? :P) I still post - eventually! It's more than I can say for some other bloggers...
Anyway, looking at some graphic design and various other freelancing jobs, it's interesting to see what's out there. There are some jobs where people are basically expected to work for pennies, such as one wherein a person was wanted to look at between 10-15 articles per day, and to rewrite these. Shady at best, but the pay of $2 per article made it a no-go. In any case... I'm rather bad at writing these blog posts on time now! So, to get everything up-to-date:
- Merry Christmas! - Happy 2014! - Still interning - Exams coming up - Coursework deadlines got hectic in December - Zendir 2's final edition finished and released - Now a Freelance Graphic Designer - Now a Web Developer - Many things happened at the end of 2013 - 2014 looks to be decisive toward 2015 Lately in my spare time, I've taken to livestreaming. I livestream popular and lesser-known games, and kicked off with Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse on the hour of its release.
I don't do any commentary, but I talk in the chat. Here is the link, should you want to join in: http://www.twitch.tv/streamlegend/ After Zendir 2, I think I'm getting a lot better at writing things, particularly what can happen in the middle of the end of the trilogy - Zendir 3. I think this is because the characters already have the history I gave them, thereby meaning I didn't have to flesh them all out all over again. In fact,
Zendir 2: A World Reborn is almost here - it's been a full year in the making, but it is finally done! The game includes over 100 useful NPCs (each with at least a line of dialogue that either gives information about the world, or helps you in your quest)...
Zendir 2 is almost ready for release - I am just waiting on a couple of script bugs to be fixed, but one of the script authors is currently working on other scripts, so I don't know how long it will be before there is a fix. But my estimate is about a week.
